Refund & Cancellation Policy (Services)

Overview

I provide bespoke graphic design and brand identity services. Because work is tailored to each client, refunds are limited once work has started. This policy explains when you can cancel and whether any refund is due. This policy applies in addition to your rights under the contract and applicable UK law.
Deposits & Payments

  • A non‑refundable deposit of [50%] of the project fee is payable to book the project and commence work.

  • The remaining balance is due on [milestone/completion/delivery] or as otherwise agreed in writing.
     

Cancellation Rights
This service is provided business‑to‑business only. Consumer cooling‑off rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 do not apply. Cancellation terms are set out below.
Cancellations (Any Client)
You may cancel at any time by written notice to [you@example.com]. Fees due are:

  • Before concept work begins: refund of any fees paid minus non‑recoverable costs.

  • After concepts presented / during revisions: pay for all work completed to date plus any third‑party/production costs incurred. The initial deposit is non‑refundable.

  • After final approval or file delivery: no refunds are available.
     

Delays & Pauses

If the project is delayed by you for more than [30] days, I may pause the project. A restart fee of [£___] may apply to reschedule time. Work and files may be archived after [60] days of inactivity.

Cancellations by Me

If I must cancel for reasons beyond my control, I will refund any fees for work not yet carried out and transfer to you any work already paid for.

Chargebacks

If there is any issue with your invoice or payment, please contact me first at alex@scaleborne.org. Unauthorised chargebacks may be disputed.
